About:Chinese Embassy in Singapore

I am Malaysian (S Pass Holder) and working in Singapore currently, and I am planning fly to Guangzhou from Singapore. I haven not booking the air ticket at the moment. I am going to China on October. Can I apply the visa through China Embassy in Singapore right now? Any documents required, especially the air ticket they needed before apply visa? Is it the visa date will start count in October (flying date) or date of approval of visa? What different of double-entry visa and multi-entry visa? Is it can go any place in Republic of China (e.g. Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau and China) after applied on Multi-entry visa.

Besides th etow-way air tickets, you also have to submit the following documents:
1. One completely filled out Visa Application Form.
2. One recently taken passport photo. Please affix the photo to the application form.
3. Singapore PR.EP.WP. (Original and photocopy) or Embarkation card.
4. hotel booking.

The visa date will start from the date of the approval.

The differences between double entry visa and nulti-entry visa mainly lie in the times you can entet China with the visa within its validity: you can enter China two times with a double entry visa; you can enter China unlimited times with a multi-entry visa.
You need different visas to mainland China, Hongkong, Macau as welll as Taiwan.

Actually, you really dont need to have a hotel booking. You can state on your visa the address of stay, even if its just a friends place. Defiantely you need to show proof of flight tickets, and if you are a Singapore Resident, make a copy and submit together with your visa applications and flight ticket copy. Similar for pass holder.

Beside that, if I stay in my relative house. Should I give the China Embassy the full address in China?
