Thanks for your reply Mr Aaron. Do you know if that is the official policy? I sent an email to the Chinese Consulate and they said the same as you, that an Australian can apply in Spain using an Australian passport. However, when I went to the Consulate in Barcelona, they said that Australians must apply in Australia.
