Tong'an now is a district of Xiamen, not a village anymore. I guess we are talking about the same place. Yes, it is a beautiful place, with many historical sites.
Dalun Culture Tourist Area. The main tourist spots include: Brahma Temple, Brahman Pagoda, Su Song's former residence, Tong'an Confucian Temple, Zhu Xi's Epigraph and Stone Inscription, Twelve-Dragon Pool, Wuxian Holiday Recreation Place, etc.
Tingxi Hotspring Holiday Resort, include: Tingxi Reservoir, Hotspring Swimming Pool, Song's Porcelain Kiln.
Dadeng Tri-islet Tourist Area. You can fully enjoy the landscape of the island fishing village and overlook the Quemoy or Jinmen Island of Taiwan not far away, or just have a fun swimming on the beach.

Hello Steven

My father was from Ou Tow fishing village in Tong'an. When i visited the village in mid 1990s,there was an ancestral hall in the village where names of members from the village were listed. I cannot read chinese. My dad told me that the villagers used to have either the Chio(h) or Seah family name. I understand many of the villagers migrated to S'pore.
