About:Home Visiting

I am from Singapore and visiting Qingdao on 18 August for the beer festival. I appreciate if anyone can tell me where to find good exotic food. I will be staying at the Kilin Hotel, is there any insteresting to see or to do which is nearby to the hotel ?

Food from Korea and Japan could be found everywhere in the city. Have a try~ There are also western restaurants, such as Red House Steak at Parkson, Zhongshan Rd.

This hotel is just located at the center of the Shilaoren National Resort, so you could walk around there.

Depends on what's exotic for you ;-)
You can get Indian food, good Italian, French or German food. There's a Russian restaurant in the Hong Kong Garden area. Or exotic sea-food in some of the Chinese restaurants. The area of your hotel doesn't have too much (apart from a great SPR coffee house near the beach). Be prepared to take a taxi downtown. Costs about 18 RMB and takes 15 minutes. That's where you want to be for nightlife and for exotic food.
Enjoy the beerfest. I'll be there as well, looking forward to some tasty imported beers.

Hmm...somehow my reply disappeared...

Anyway, it all depends on what's "exotic" for you. There's a nice Russian restaurant in Hong Kong Garden. There's also Indian, French, Thai, good Vietnamese (in Hisense Plaza), British (very exotic to some people), German and so on. Ask in your hotel for the local city magazines (most popular is called "Redstar"). You'll find more information there.

Enjoy the beerfest. I'm going there as well and I'm already looking forward to some nice imported beers. Cheers!
