About:China Great Wall

Why the wall is damaged badly like the second picture shows? Is this wall suitable to climb？

The wall is seriously damaged because it stands there for over a thousand years and lack of repairation. It suffers from wind erosion and human destruction. Some wild sections are not suitable to climb unless you have enough experience, but some sections have been developed into scenic area where your safety is ensured, such as Badaling Great Wall.
