hello. can somebody help me?!... I'm an foreign student studying in Xiamen.. I'm planning to visit guangzhou this july... i'm just going to take the long-distance bus, because it is cheaper... do you have an idea of where to stay? cheap hostel but with clean facilities and friendly staffs.. about 100rmb or below...um, hope it's not far from the busiest district or will i say from the shopping centers and from metro station... :D  sny suggestions?! :D thank you...

It is a bit hard to find a clean, good hotel near the shopping center with less than 100 yuan fare. You can try riverside Youth Hostel at the lake bank of Bai E Tan Pool, or Guangzhou International Youth Hostel in Huanshi xi Lu. The single room cost a little higher than 100, or you can stay in the dorm-style room which is  much cheaper. Hope it helps.
