We've seen varying information in regards to exchanging money when visiting other countries. What is your suggestion about visiting China? Exchange some dollars here in the States, exchange in the airport, or exchange in a bank in China? We need to have RMB for the taxi from the airport to the hotel in Shanghai. We have usually used a bank in the air port when traveling to Europe.

Well, I can suggest 2 ways for you. 1. Change a little amount of Chinese Yuan in your country before leaving. You can use these CNY for your taxi cost or meals when you arrive in China. After checking in at your hotel, you can exchange the currency at your hotel or at the Bank of China which are both very convenient. 2. After your arrival in Shanghai airport, you can exchange some CNY at the airport. The servant at the airport can help you with this. For the large amount of CNY, you’d better change at the banks. The first way must be more reasonable, I think.
