About:Chinese Embassy in Canada

My husband and I are teachers who will start work in China on August 1, 2009. We presently live in Germany but we are Canadian citizens. We will be in Canada for the month of July but not in Ottawa. We need to apply for z visas. Can we do that through mail or do we have to go in peron? What is the process? How do we go about this.

You'd better apply for the visa from the Chinese embassy in Canada in person to speed and smooth the process with the following documents:
1. Your passports with blank pages and at least 6 months validity left before expiration.

2. A truly and completely filled application form affixed with one passport-sized photo.

3. A Visa Notification Form issued by Chinese authorized unit.

4. Both original and copy of Alien Employment License issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, or Foreign Expert Work Permit issued by the State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs of China

5.The applicant who will stay in China for more than six months shall provide a Physical Examination Certificate for Foreign Citizen.
