Does this mean I don't have to go through immigration/customs to make an international/international transfer? Will the transfer desks issue boarding passes and recheck my bags for me? There is no reliable information on how to do this anywhere on the Internet. Do I have to pick up my checked bags? It seems silly that such a modern airport would have a system such as this.

As I know, international transfer at T2 of Pudong Airport requires non-clear customs and non-collect luggage again, but you have to accept the security inspection again. Yes, the transfer desk will issue you boarding pass when you land on the arrival hall/
