About:Changchun Travel

Hi all,

Thanks for sharing your stories and advice.

I'm an Australian, currently living in Singapore, but likely to move with my wife to an area 1 hour outside of Chang Chun for work. I am planning to take up a Chinese class for 3-4 months full-time when I get there. Does anyone have any recommendations for a course or school that I could look into in Chang Chun city?

Thanks for your help.
Leo

You can speak English in china, nearly all the college students can understand what you said. It is very comfortable in summer in Changchun.

If you want to get a head start while in Singapore, I can recommend an excellent Chinese tutor. Mandarin if her first language and her pronunciation is perfect (pronunciation can be a real problem if you choose the wrong teacher). Her Chinese name is Liu, Li Xia. English name is Lydia Liu 163.com|lydia8

I'm a dweller living in Changchun now. Here are some useful message for you. There are many foreigners but few Chinese training lessons here.So that who want to learn Chinese often ask Chinese college students for help, some are charged and some are free since there are also many Chinese students being intereted in English or other foreign language. So when you get here you'd better try to find a college student around your living house so you can teach each other.
This is Zhao Dawei,if you have any question about this city, just contact to me,my email is 163.com|mdav.

Thankyou very much for your responses. I will definitely start learning Chinese while in Singapore for the next few months.

I also just found out the job could be in Song Yuan outside of Chang Chun. Should be interesting.

Thanks again.
