About:Chinese Embassy in Malaysia

I am a Malaysian working in China, holding the Residence Permit For Foreigner In The People's Republic Of China. I am going to renew my Malaysia passport in Malaysia. Any idea how to transfer my China Residence Permit from 'old' to 'new' passport in Malaysia? If it didnt transfer to 'new' passport, means I dont have any visa to entry China. Please advise if any other options which available. Thanks.

You can not transfer the residence permit on your old passport to the new passport. You need to apply for a new Z visa and then get a new residence permit.
