About:Terracotta Army, Xian

I visited Zian and the Museum of Qin Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses a couple of years ago and I am looking forward to visiting once again in September 2009. I found it extremely interesting and somewhat mysterious, especially the different facial expressions of the actual figures. You can spend a lot of time just studying the individual soldiers as they all have different ranks and weapons- to think that one person digging a well on his farm could discover this eighth miracle of the world, as the Chinese call it, is just amazing. A MUST SEE MUSEUM

Wow - you will be very impressed, it is well worth the trip. If you are looking for a little gift to bring home, they will also make a great conversation. Expect to pay (depends on the size) a 2-3 inch to 5-6 inch set will range from 20 - 45 yuan, or about 3 - 7 dollars Cdn - it also helps the locals.
