About:Siberian Tiger Park

Mr. Mark, Harbin has basically no conservation value, and in fact these large intensive breeding facilities in China where set up to provide tiger parts for Chinese medicine and skins for decoration. By doing so they stimulate a trade whcih threatens wild tigers. Don't go. Also, the 're-wilding' shows where they feed live animals to the tigers are just pointless vouyerism.. these tigers can never be released into the wild, they cannot hunt, have no habitat to be released into in China and would be dangerous to everyone...

Mr Cameron,
The Siberian Tiger Farm in Harbin gave me my first look at tigers up close. Okay, it's not a Safari Park, but a good percentage of the Tigers have plenty of space (I would assume they get rotated) and the feeding of live animals surely gives them some excersise. Yes they are being bred for slaughter, but every country breeds animals for slaughter. I would have gone for a tiger steak after my visit if they had it on offer.
Would you also say that filming wild animals tearing their pray appart is pointless vouyerism?
if you wanted to see true conservation Harbin was the wrong place to go (you should ask for a refund from your travel agent or do a bit more research).
If you don't want to see animals in captivity don't go to a place where tehy keep animals in captivity.
