About:China Visa

Hi

I am a New Zealand citizen. I will be visiting China on a multiple entry L visa. My understanding is that I can apply to extend my stay in China for a further 30 days at a local PSB & that this is only allowed once. Prior to the expiry of the extended visa, can I apply for a new L visa in either Hongkong or Macau or do I need to return to my country of origin, i.e. New Zealand to have this done?

Your response is greatly appreciated.

In normal days, it is possible to get a new L visa in Hong Kong, but currently the visa regulation is said to be tightened due to the swine flu. So it is not clear if it is possible to acquire a China visa there. Surely, it is always easier to get a China inside your country of origin than outside your home country.

Of course you can do it at HK or Macau, if you just need 30 days L visa.
