About:Shanghai Travel

Hi,

I am traveling to Shanghai on business from May 11, 2009 thru May 21, 2009. I will be working during the day but will have evenings and one weekend available to sight-see. Can you recommend two good day tours of the Shanghai area? What about evening touring (no bars or clubs thank you). What are the cultural "must see" items. I will be in the Pudong district. I prefer small tours or even semi-private ones.

I love culture, history, technology, food (but no cats or bugs please :-( )

Thanks for any advice that you can offer

1. day trip out of Shanghai I will recommend ancient water town ( you could take shuttle bus to there), Suzhou (famous for the ancient garden), by D train is 38 min, Hangzhou (famous for the nature scenery) by D train is 1 hour and 20 min.

For night sightseeing, I will recommend East nanjing road & the bund, Xujiahui area is also good to pay a visit, because there is several electronics markets there:)

I'm a local tour guide & interpreter in Shanghai, if you have any other question or need any help, go free to let me know:)
