About:Shenyang Travel

Hi,

I have had a 6 month teaching offer starting in June Shenyang. I believe, from reading these posts, that there are not many foreginers in the city which is fine by me although I do not know any Mandarin and I don't want to be isolated because I can't communicate.

I would like to experience everything and my other option is Shijiazhuang in Hebei Province, I need to consider being able to get around and see the parts of the country as well. What do you suggest?

Thanks!
Keith

I currently live in Shenyang, I work for Rolls-Royce and come from England. Shenyang is an old industrial city but only one hour flight to Beijing. There are a number of western type places near the American Embassy. Weather is mied from Hopt to very cold.

There a lot of foreigners, especially in colleges... If you like, you meet a lot at China medical university, they host a lot of parties there.... you meet people from other colleges as well, nice location
