About:Qingdao Travel

Hello,
we are taking the train down from Beijing to extend our visas. Just enough time to walk on the beach, drink beer and starve: we are vegetarian and my last visit to a seaside town was bleak.

Baidaihe offered little more than greasy potato at restaurants fronted by glass tanks filled with doomed creatures. Broke my daughter's heart.

Shall I pack plenty of snacks or are there some local dishes to try?

thanks in advance for any advice

cheers,
Pat

You mean in QIngdao. The first should be Qingdao beer. If you go to the right time, you may jion in the Qingdao international beer festival, around summer. Then should be the seafood. Qingdao gathers much food from Korea and Japan. I like a kind of Shandong local snack, thin pancake.
