About:Chinese Embassy in Vietnam

British couple currently traveling throughout Asia would like to take a train ride from Hanoi to Beijing and spend a few days in and around China before returning to Vietnam. Is it possible to attain a tourist (L)visa from Hanoi for this purpose? There is no chance to return home to apply for the visa there.

Yes, it is possible to apply for a Chinese tourist visa at the Chinese embassy in Hanoi.BTW, do you have a Vietnam visa or resident permit? It may be required for your application.

Thank you very much! I do have a Vietnam visa and think I have found somewhere in HCMC that can also help.. I will post further info for anyone else in my situation.. Regards Caroline
