About:Chinese Embassy in India

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am a citizen of the United Kingdom currently in India and I would like to enquire about getting a tourist visa for China. I have a few questions:

-The visa section says that I should provide a covering letter from my company or employer. I am currently travelling and so am not employed, can I disregard this requirement?

-I am travelling into China from India then leaving China to Thailand. Is a copy of my confirmed flight to Thailand enough?

For applying for a tourist visa, you can disregard the requirement.
