book train tickets of beijing to shanghai by phone overseas

Question

Hi,I would like to know if it is possible if I made overseas call to Beijing Railway Station to book ticket to Shanghai 10 days before departure to ensure confirmed ticket? If yes, then what short of information will the Train Station need from me? How should I confirm train tickets even before departure to Beijing? Appreciate if any one can help me as I am bringing my mother for the very first time to China.

I suggest you come to China one or two days earlier, coz the train station doesn't accept ticket books by phone or by web, But you can buy the tickets in any of the ticket agency around Beijing directly. Unfortunately I am not in Beijing, If you want book a ticket in Zhengzhou or travell in Henan  I can help you.Eric Yang
