About:Beijing Travel Tips

just got back from beijing....beijing is so wonderful!but at this time i went it was very cold but unfortunately no snow...
i want to share some of my experience with all of you..first and foremost, please please PLEASE change your currency to RMB at your country esp those from MALAYSIA.there is no money changer around beijing and we(my friends and me) had so many difficulty in changing money as not all shop accept RM.even if they do accept, they will only change at a very low rate-1.6RMB for RM1.in msia we can get 1.9RMB for RM1 yea..
and the 2nd one is the shopping tips..if u go to YISHOW market or LIDO market,be careful. they will give you a really expensive price for each item..listen to me,start as low as possible. e.g,for t-shirt they will offer u 260RMB,DON'T be afraid to lower it to 50RMB..really,i learnt my lesson already. and don't be afraid if they scold you or whatever. just pretend to go to other shop, they will give you the price you want. if not, just remember that there's a lot of other market at beijing...
for anymore tips, just ask..i'll try to help you all,esp fellow countrymen..

ms Vera,im not sure bout singapore dolar but its best u change your currency to RMB to avoid the same problems i faced..as for GREAT WALL,yes,u have to walk but u can choose whether u want to challenge the high staircases or not.(it is quite high actually).for FORBIDDEN CITY,it requires quite a long walk from the south door to north door..prepare some light snacks &water is my advice..and dont forget your camera!
best place for shooping is the Lido Market & Yi Show Market but u can ask your tour guide bout this..beijing got lots of shopping places so bring extra money if u are a shopaholic yea!
-glad to be of help-
