About:24-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transit Visa

Hi, I’m a Nigerian National but a UK resident. Do I need a transit visa from China to Japan?
I have a 2-hour layover in China.

No, you do not need any kind of visa as far as China is concerned. Your itinerary will be covered by 24 hour visa free transit. Under the assumption that you fly on a single ticket all the way from UK to Japan, during your layover in China you will just walk from one to the other gate and you do not have to perform any formality nor to fill out any forms. Also, you will not be a subject of immigration or customs inspections. You will just cross the security check between the gates. Very simple and straightforward procedure. Have a nice journey.
