About:Baggage Allowance for Chinese Domestic Flights

Hello,

Firstly, many thanks for a very informative and useful website.

Do you know what are the rules about taking musical instruments as hand luggage in addition to the one item allowed?

I am going to China and I would like to buy a traditional musical instrument like a guzheng, a guqing or a pipa.

Thanks and regards.

You should take the musical instrument as hand luggage for the sake of protecting it from breaking. However, you hand luggage should be less than 11 pounds in total and any piece must have dimensions no larger than 8x16x22 inches.
