About:China Civil Aviation - Regulations & Security Check

Are lighters and liquids allowed on China’s domestic or international flights? I am a smoker. I have heard that China’s aviation administration has removed the ban on liquid items. Was that news reliable?

The CAAC has ever removed matches and lighters from banned items on domestic flights. The safety regulation is just like a blink. CAAC is so changeable. On December 18th, CAAC made the announcement that passengers on board domestic flights may carry lighters, matches and liquids in the carry-on luggage from December 20. The restriction on carrying lighters and matches for passengers on board issued on April 7, 2008 will remain in force. Sadly, two or three days later, he CAAC announced that the new safety regulation on domestic flights which was planned to take effect on December 20 was suspended. CAAC said the suspension of lifting the ban on lighters and liquid items was to ensure passengers’ safety and the smooth traffic of airliners during the Spring Festival travel peak. So far, the items are still banned from carry-on luggage.
