there is train from kowloon to guangzhou, takes 2 hrs. then change train from guangzhou to kunming it takes 1 day and 2 hrs from guangzhou to kunming.but you have to take any train from kowloon which arrive to guangzhou before 2 pm, because train from guangzhou to kunming leave at 14:08 pm as shown below:
