I'm a Malaysian passport holder in Bangkok but without a working permit. The Chinese embassy informed my agent they won't issue me a visa without a working permit and the only way for me is to fly to KL and get it and back to Bangkok to continue on to China.

Is there any other way? I am only going to China for 5 days.
