About:Yuan Dynasty

I need to do little correction (I have been studied Mongolian history for 13 years). Genghis Khaan is a title. Because Mongolians used to give titles to their Khans. His real name is Temuujin (not Tiemuzhen). I think, Mongolia is not ethnic minority group, it is a nation. Genghis means 'Oceanic'. Moreover, Khubilai just moved his capital city from Kharkhorum to nowadays Beijing (because he inherited such a big land it was his desire to move his capital city to anywhere. Beijing was the biggest city in that time). I agree he somehow liked chinese culture because he had chinese tutor.

Mr David, thank you for your correction and also we are very glad to meet you, an expert of Mongolian history. As for the spelling of Genghis Khan's real name, I want to give some explanation here and hope to receive your agreement on it. According to Chinese mandarin, tiemuzhen is a right spelling. Its Chinese handwriting is 铁木真. So, the author of this article just used pinyin to spell Genghis Kan's name as per the pronunciation of mandarin, i.e. putonghua.

Anyway, we hopes you could give more comments or suggestions to TravelChinaGuide in your spare time. Thanks again!
