About:Emperor Qin Shi Huang

I agree that Emperor Qin Shi Huang was an admiring leader- but I can't help but think that he was a little crazy for power. He dreamed of immortality and didn't think about the fact that his empire would one day fall like any other... and I read somewhere th at he built an underground empire and ordered his subjects to bury him with his terracotta army so that the conquering spirits would follow him into the afterlife.
Sounds a little psycho sometimes. A mad genius.
But I guess that's what you get when you shove a thirteen year old onto the throne to govern a huge nation.

It is true that under Legalism, the Qin was a powerful state bureaucracy. But one has to keep in mind that most of what we know about Qin came from Han's records. The Han conquered the Qin and bashed its policies, and the books that were supposed burned during the Qin dynasty still exist today...

More than 460 scholars who tried to conceal their philosophical writings of the "Hundred schools" were put to death. The book was almost destroyed by qin Shi Huangdi by much blood was shed.
However, it stirred up anger and hatred for the emperor. Later, Qin's descendants managed to overthrowhis dynasty 4 years after his death.

I disagree that he was a good emperor. He was so cruel to his people!
