Nellie, you do not have to bother yourself with visa free transit schemes because Malaysian citizens can enter China absolutely visa free for a stay of up to 30 days. In other words, you will enter China through Guangzhou airport in the same way as you would do that in Thailand, for example. I strongly advise you to fill out Chinese arrival card online, ahead of your travel through Chinese National Immigration administration website in order not to save your time on formalities upon your landing in Guangzhou. Have a nice visit to Guangzhou.
