Visa re-entry

Hello, I am looking to get an M visa for a 3 month business trip to China. I was told that I am more likely to get a 30 or 60 day visa than the 90 days I need. If I get a 30 day visa, would I be able to leave China for a day and then return to reset my 30 days?

If you apply for M visa with single entry, then you cannot re-enter. It's advised to apply for an M visa with multiple entries, then you can re-enter to activate a new 30-day entry.

You can re-enter at the same day. There is no limit on the interval between two entries.
