About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Shanghai to HongKong

Hello, I am traveling on ANA airlines from San Francisco to Tokyo to Shanghai in April. Then I plan to visit Shenzhen, then Macau, Then Hong Kong and then attend the Canton fair in Guangzhou and fly from Guangzhou to Tokyo for 3 days and then go to San Francisco. Is this route valid for the 240 hours visa free travel?

Yes, it's a valid route and you can apply for 240 twice in shanghai and guangzhou respectively. But upon entry, you need to show the ticket leaving for Macau and San Francisco respectively.
