Hong Kong to Shenzhen back to Hong Kong

Hello, I am going to Hong Kong in February and would like to visit Shenzhen for a few days. Will the VOA allow me to return back to Hong Kong to fly back to Canada? I am a Canadian citizen. Thank you.

Yes, VOA allows you to return back to Hong Kong. This is different than visa free transit where you have to travel to a third country / eligible territory. So, you will apply for Shenzhen VOA at one of three eligible border crossings (Lo Wu / Luohu, Huanggang or Shekou) and enter Shenzhen. When you are over with your visit, you will return to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing and any mean of transport, high speed train included. Have a nice visit to Shenzhen.
