About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Canadian going to hong kong - macau - shenzhen - hong kong - canada

I think i know the answer, but i just wanted to confirm. We are on canadian passports and flying to hong kong; then making a trip to Macau then ferry to shenzhen (shekou port). We will ensure that we do not get into line to apply for shenzhen 5 day visa on arrival and we will ensure that we apply for temporary entry permit under 240 hour visa free transit. If one person has a 10 year china visa, are we able to go through? We will be sure to purchase a train ticket from shenzhen to hong kong before we enter shenzhen initially. Please confirm we are eligible.

I positively confirm. Yes, your itinerary is definitely and undoubtedly eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you should know that you are not limited to Shenzhen only. You can travel to other parts of mainland China as well. You have understood everything perfectly, so you can proceed with your travel plans.

A person that has valid Chinese visa, does not have to bother with 240 temporary entry permit. She/he will just complete (fill out) arrival card, perform fingerprinting and proceed to the immigration. Have a wonderful journey.
