About:Visa on Arrival

Tour Group?

Hi there,
I’m planning to go to Shenzhen for a weekend trip from HK on a British passport. Am I eligible for the visa if I do this trip independently, or do I need to go on an organised tour?

It is perfectly allowed to travel independently and, in fact, the largest majority of those who apply and travel on Shenzhen 5 days visa on arrival, travel independently. No organized tour needed. You will just take a suburban train from Hong Kong to Lo Wu, cross the border to Luohu, apply for a visa, pay 130 CNY fee and upon granting a visa, you will proceed to Shenzhen. When you are over with your Shenzhen visit, you will return to Hong Kong by taking any border crossing and any mean of transport, high speed train included. Have a nice visit to Shenzhen.
