About:China Student Visa

Arrive early on X1

I am hoping to arrive in china on August 28th on my X1

With my Uni, I will have the final document required (invitation to get residence permit) on 15th September. I will therefore have 11 days to apply for residence permit before my x1 expires)

Once I have applied for residence permit, does my X1 duration matter? So if I apply residence permit 5 day before x1 expire (25/30), it is no problem?

As long as I have receipt from security bureau it doesn’t matter if I get my permit and passport 10 days later (x1 would have expired by then)?

I’ve asked my uni but they are unclear on the specifics for the above question

Once you get your residence permit before it expires, the X1 duration lost its significance. You can apply for the permit 5 days before X1 expires and you must get your permit before X1 expires, or the X1 becomes invalid and you have to leave China.
