guangzhou to Hong kong to guangzhou

Hello.
I am travelling from NZ to Guangzhou near end of July.
After 4 days in Guangzhou I would like to go to Hong Kong for three days and then back to mainland China for three weeks to complete my holiday.
Am I able to re enter Mainland China visa free after staying just three days in Hong Kong?
