Residence Visa.

I am working at the moment but my visa expires on thed 31st of July. I start a new job in Foshan in which I do not need to be in china until the 13th of August. However, because my visa expires on the 31st it means that I have to return on the 29th of July which I do not want to do as I have commitments in England.

Is there any way that I can extend my residence visa from the 31st of July until the middle or end of August so that I can enter back into China after the 29th of July. I have asked my present school but they said that they can extend it after the 31st because that is when my contract ends with the present school.

My new school does not want me to apply for a Z visa in the uk as this means that they can not transfer my residence visa over. I hope this makes sense and I look forward to hearing from you

Your new school says it right and they need to transfer your work resident permit with the new labor contract in China before your current visa expires. Your new school should help you to get a new resident permit and your old one should be canceled.
