About:China Visa Application in UK

Can I go to visa application centre straight after the online application?

I have completed the online application on the 20th April, and current status is 'under review'. Do I need to wait to be notified before I visit the visa application centre in person? or Can I go straight away? Thank you.

Karen, just print out your application form and sign it before you go straight to the application center with all the required documents.

Thank you for your kind response Annie. But from what I have read on RedNote, and heard locally in the UK, that now you have to wait for the online application to be approved and notified via email, then with the approval receipt you then can go to the visa application centre in person. You can no longer just go straight away like prior to 1st April 2025. Please could you kindly verify the fact? Thank you again.

Sorry, Karen, I just found the latest notification on the official website of Chinese Visa Application Service Center that applicants in the UK can not only fill out the form but also upload materials online since March 31, 2025. You indeed need to wait for the initial review to pass before submitting your materials to the application center.

You can contact the application center: call +44(0)20 7776 7888 or email to ukcentre@visaforchina.org with your question to get an accurate answer.
