Trip with luggage

Which of the three entryways is easier if I have luggage (two big suitcases)? I need to go from HK airport to Shenzhen. Thank you.

In my opinion, by far the best option is to take a ferry from HKIA to Shekou in Shenzhen. There are about 10 daily departures and you can buy a ticket from HKIA Skypier to Shekou online at Chu Kong Passenger Transport Company (CKS) website (cksp.com.hk/#/main/home ). It is important to understand that you should not exit the airport toward Hong Kong immigration, but to continue toward Skypier. There the airport staff will transfer your luggage to the ferry and the ferry will take you to Shekou where you will apply for Shenzhen 5 days visa on arrival. You should just check whether the airline you will fly into Hong Kong is associated with this very convenient option. Once when you arrive in Shekou that is a neighborhood of Shenzhen, you will take a taxi to your destination in that city. By far the best option without any doubt.

Thank you for the reply. Since my flight comes in late at night, I was planning on spending the night at a hotel by the airport and then crossing over to SZ early in the morning. Would this still be an option? I imagine in this case I would go through HK immigration when I arrive, and then go towards Skypier the following morning?
I'm afraid that the visa quota would be filled up by the time I arrive at night.

Well, when you exit the airport and cross Hong Kong immigration, you cannot use Skypier anymore. In other words, once you pass through Hong Kong immigration and enter the city, you forfeit the eligibility to use Skypier services. This policy ensures that Skypier functions as a seamless air-to-sea or air-to-land transfer facility for international travelers. So, you would have to take a bus from the airport to Huanggang border crossing. There is an option with a taxi, but that one costs around 100 USD or more. You can take a cross-border bus via Huanggang border crossing (this option with Huanggang is essential in your entire transfer because of visa office presence there). So, after a night rest, you will return to the airport and follow signs for "Mainland Coaches" or ask airport staff for directions. At the transport centre, you'll find counters for various cross-border bus operators, such as Trans Island Limousine Bus, Eternal East Cross-Border Coach and China Travel Tours. Inform the staff that you're heading to Shenzhen via Huanggang Port because of the VOA. The price is approximately HK$60–150, depending on the operator and service class. Buses depart every 15 to 30 minutes throughout the day. Services run daily, with some operators offering 24-hour service. The journey takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on traffic conditions. You have to be aware that you will have to take your luggage out of the bus at Huanggang because of immigration and customs inspections. There are no more quotas.
