About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

LHR-HKG-SHG-LHR

We are flying from London to Hong Kong to Shanghai back to London. Does this qualify for the 240 hour free visa? We have both Canadian and British passports, which would be best to use?

Your itinerary is definitely and undoubtedly eligible for 240 hour visa free transit and you do not need any kind of visa. It is just important to understand that your flight from Shanghai to London is not allowed to have a landing in Hong Kong of any kind. It has to be a direct, nonstop flight. You can use any of the mentioned passports, there is no real difference between them in any regard. Have a nice visit to China.
