About:Ming Tombs
Is a half-day trip to the Ming Tombs and Sacred Way from central Beijing doable?
Hi, I am staying in Beijing for about 3,5 days and one of the sights I would really like to visit are the Ming Tombs and the Sacred Way. But it's hard to book an organized trip there since most of them appear to be private tours and I'm a solo traveller so the tours are far too expensive. The only time I could visit the tombs is on Sunday but I have to be back in Beijing by roughly 3pm as I'm leaving for Xi'an at 5pm (bullet train). My hotel is located very close to the Temple of Heaven. Would a self-organized half-day trip from there to the Tombs be actually doable? And with Badaling Wall or better without? On Saturday I'm already on a hiking tour from Jinshanling to Gubeikou Section so I can skip the Great Wall easily. Thank you.
