The citizen of Czechia can obtain a 5 days Shenzhen VOA or 3 days Zhuhai VOA. There is no question about it. It is just necessary to arrive at the designated border crossing in the morning hours, preferably at Lo Wu (Luohu) for Shenzhen VOA, and apply there for a visa. The price is 130 CNY and is expected to by payed by card. However, if you plan to visit both Shenzhen and Zhuhai, then 240 hour visa free transit is much better option. You can exit Hong Kong by ferry to Shekou in Shenzhen (this one and Nansha port south from Guangzhou are the only eligible ports if you want to enter mainland China from Hong Kong), but before your departure from Hong Kong you will have to have (buy) a ferry ticket from Shekou to Macau for the date and time of your choice, but not longer than 10 days from the date of your entry into mainland China. Like this, you can travel within mainland China for up to 10 days absolutely visa free and then exit from Shekou to Macau. You are not limited to just Shenzhen and Zhuhai, but you can travel all the way to Shanghai, Beijing or Chengdu if you want. Quite the contrary, both Shenzhen and Zhuhai VOAs limit you to city limits only. I hope this is the explanation you were looking for and you will make decisions that suit you best. Have a nice visit to China.
