About:China Visa Application in UK

Non-British Visa Application

I am from the USA, but attending school in the UK. I'd like to visit family in China. This page seems to imply that I can still apply through the consulates in the UK even though I am not a UK citizen. Is this correct? If so, are there any special steps I need to take in order to make that happen?

Yes, it's possible for you to apply for a visa in the UK as you are a student there. No other special steps but you need your legal residenct permit as a proof.
