About:China Visa-free Policy

vietnam to china by train ( bus) -shanghai fly to canada . can i qualify for visa free 240 hours ?

I plan to fly back home in Hanoi vietnam stay about one month then take a train or bus from HN to Naning or Quangzhou for china visit ( free visa 240 hours ) then fly back to Toront from Shanghai ( beijing ) airport . it can be qualify for the visa free 240 hours?

Feel sorry to tell you that Vietnam is not on the list of 54 eligible countries, so the 240 is not applicable to you.

thanks for you opinion ,how about if I reverse fly direct from canada to shanghai take 240 hours visa free then go to vietnam later by train & bus ?

So you are a Canadian and you plan to fly from Canada to Shanghai, then go to Vietnam by train or bus? Sorry to tell you that you cannot take a train or bus to Vietnam under the 240 policy as there is no eligible railway port or road port to Vietnam. You will have to take a flight to Vietnam without transit in other ineligible Mainland China cities to utilize the 240h visa free transit.
