About:How to Apply for a China Tourist Visa

visa free entry

I am flying from Manchester to shanghai Pu Dong airport and staying for 3 days before embarking on a cruise ship to sail to Japan for a week then flying from Japan back to the UK. Do I need a visa or do I qualify for a visa free entry as I'm departing for a third country via a port?

You are qualified for the 240h visa free transit so you don't need a visa for this.
