clarifications:

1) Is Beijing Pass the other term for Hutong Card?

2) Is it reloadable outside Beijing? Also reloadable via Alipay?

Nowadays, most of Beijing's transportation cards have China T-Union logo. With the logo, you can use it in most of China T-Union member cities. Beijing Pass has that logo also.

You can top it up and get a refund only in Beijing.

Silkpass App is to top up Beijing Pass outside Beijing, but it is developed to please the government, it is not for people. It's nonsense.

It is better to minimize the number of registration in China.

Yikatong card with China T-Union logo
It can be used in other Chinese cities' public transportation.
No shopping function
Basic card is a loan card. Special design card is sold card.
Most of Yikatongs nowadays are with China T-Union logo.

Yikatong card without China T-Union logo
It cannot be used in other Chinese cities.
It can be used in some shops in Beijing. Almost nobody uses this function.

They are all sold cards.

China T-Union is to use public transportation with one card. Every member city has to update their system to let other cities people to ride their system. Not easy to do. Most of work is done during COVID era. You can use your card in most of member cities.
