144 hour transit visa

We want to fly to Beijing and then onward to Istanbul, however our flight to Beijing from Hanoi has a stopover in Shenzhen. We were planning to get the 144 hour transit visa upon arrival in Beijing, but will our stopover in Shenzhen affect this?

If you have two stopovers in Chinese Mainland, you will not be eligible for the 144. You need to order a direct flight from Hanoi to Beijing to get 6 days visa-free stay in Beijing.
