About:Visa on Arrival

UK Passport visitor

Hello, from reading this article do I simply go to the border at Lu Wo at 8:30am to apply for the five-day VOA for same day entry and pay the fee.

Why would someone get rejected?

Yes, the success rate for countries eligible for the 144h visa-free transit policy like the UK, is very high while for citizens of some other countries, there is a risk of getting rejected.

You will do exactly as you have written and you will be fine. You will not be rejected. Rejected are those who have a record of previous overstays, those previously engaged in activities that are in collision with usual tourist or business activities in the country and those who have some kind of record of their anti-China activism or similar. The largest majority of those who apply are granted a visa without any problem.
