So you will go back to HK after 2-day trip? Choices for you:
1. Take the 2-day trip in Shenzhen because Shenzhen offers you 5-day visa on arrival at Luohu, Shekou and Huanggang Port.
2. Join in a group tour organized by HK travel agency to get the 144h visa free in 10 cities of Guangdong including Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Huizhou, Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Jiangmen and Shantou or in Hainan Province.
3. Apply for a China tourist visa at HK visa center to travel to any cities in China.
4. Change your route a little bit. From HK to areas eligible for the 144h visa free policy like Guangdong, after the 2-day visit, transfer to another country or region except for HK, for example, Macau nearby HK, to make it an available transit route. Then, travel from Macau to HK for a flight back to HK. For more information about 144h policy: https://www.travelchinaguide.com/tour/visa/free-transit-144-hours.htm
