About:240-hour Visa-free Transit in Chengdu
just wondering whether i need a visa if i am staying in Chengdu for 5 days on australian passport?

No, you do not need any kind of visa because the citizens of Australia can enter, stay, explore mainland China, Chengdu included, for up to 15 days absolutely visa free. In other words, all you need is your passport. When you will enter China for the first time you will just fill out the arrival card that you will get on the plane or at the point of your first entry. Basically you do not need to have/do anything more than that. Have a nice visit to Chengdu.0
